GW-SHIFT KPIs

The GW-Shift programme aims to achieve the following

  • 8 one-to-two year collaborative match-funded industry projects (4+ SMEs, 2+ public sector, 1+ third sector)

  • 20 sprint projects (10+ SMEs, 5+ public sector, 2+ third sector)

  • 16 3-month and 8 6-month knowledge exchange secondments (50% inward, 50% outward; 12+ SMEs, 6+ public sector, 3+ third sector)

  • 50 ECRs, civic and industry staff completing entrepreneurial training

  • 50 ECRs completing ERC training in policy, impact, networking, etc.

  • 12 engagement, inclusion, dissemination activities, reaching regional actors (industry, civic; 3rd sector; other publics), >2k attendees.

  • £1.5m+ cash/in-kind contributions

  • £10m follow-on funding for IAA-supported activities (£4m Innovate UK, £4m UKRI, £2m public, private sector, third sector)

  • 8 patents filed; 8 granted

  • 36 publications (28 academic journals, 8 non-academic journals)

  • 10 new products, processes or techniques developed

  • 4 new spinout companies registered

  • 50 new jobs created or retained

  • 5 policy impacts

  • £100m in additional GVA.
